Big names join AFL Indigenous All Stars squad

The AFL has announced the first wave of players selected for the 2025 Toyota AFL Indigenous All Stars squad, ahead of their clash with Fremantle on February 15 at Optus Stadium. The star-studded line-up features a Norm Smith medallist and multiple All Australian and Premiership players.

2023 Norm Smith medallist and Collingwood Premiership player Bobby Hill headlines the squad, alongside St Kilda’s Bradley Hill, a three-time Premiership player with Hawthorn. Fremantle’s Michael Walters and West Coast Eagles’ Liam Ryan will put aside their State-based rivalry to play together in the showcase match.

Joining them are Melbourne Premiership star Kysaiah Pickett and two-time All Australian Charlie Cameron, along with his Brisbane Lions Premiership teammate Callum Ah Chee.

AFL Indigenous All Stars Senior Coach Xavier Clarke expressed his excitement about the squad’s calibre.
“To have the best players available, including a number of Premiership players, and have the opportunity to coach them is something I am thrilled to get to do,” Clarke said.

Michael Walters, who missed the last Indigenous All Stars game in 2015 due to injury, shared his enthusiasm.
“It’s one of the games I grew up watching and I’ve always wanted to play in it. With it being here in Perth, I’m hoping for a great crowd,” Walters said.

Charlie Cameron added, “The opportunity to represent the AFL Indigenous All Stars team is extremely special to me. I hope this match will inspire the next generation of Indigenous players.”

Tickets go on sale via Ticketmaster on Wednesday, 18 December. Prices start at $10 for juniors and $35 for adults, with family tickets available for $70.
